What is AutExA™?

AutExA™ is a cloud-native Intelligence Operating System being designed to sit above a person's digital environment, understand intent, resolve that intent into abstract capabilities, select replaceable providers and runtimes, act within explicit authority and record what it does.

What is an Intelligence Operating System?

An Intelligence Operating System is a coordinating software layer above applications, cloud services, AI providers, workflows, browsers and authorised devices. It lets a person express intent while the system coordinates how that intent is carried out.

Is AutExA™ just another chatbot?

No. Conversation is one interface to AutExA™, not the system itself. AutExA™ is being built as an operating layer that reasons, orchestrates capabilities and acts within authority.

How is AutExA™ different from AI agents?

Narrow agents are usually built around specific tasks or tools. AutExA™ is designed as a general coordinating layer that works through capabilities, policy, authority and audit.

What is capability-based orchestration?

It is the principle that the reasoning layer asks for abstract capabilities, such as read email or generate speech, while the Conductor chooses the provider and runtime beneath that stable abstraction.

What is an authority envelope?

An authority envelope is an explicit, inspectable and revocable grant that defines where AutExA™ may act autonomously and where it must stop and escalate.

Does AutExA™ control my computer?

No. Nexus is a secure local runtime that provides authorised execution inside explicit Authority Envelopes. It is not remote desktop and not unrestricted machine control.

What is available today?

AutExA™ is in Controlled Alpha(b). Architectural Stability 1.0 has been achieved, and current work validates the constitutional architecture through live implementation. The platform is not being presented as generally available.
